Horseback Riding Lessons
Why Horseback Riding?
Horseback riding is one of the oldest outdoor recreational activities still in active use today. Originally developed from the tradition of riding for the purposes of transportation, today we use horses for recreational use as well as occupational use.
At 3 Saddle Ranch, we can teach anyone to ride a horse. Whether you've never been on a horse before or you’re a seasoned rider, Ron Allen will help you advance your skills and improve your horsemanship. Some of the many services we offer at 3 Saddle Ranch are:
- Beginning Horsemanship
- Horsemanship Merit Badges
- Lessons and Equine Therapy for Persons with Disabilities
- We speak American Sign Language
- Horse Breaking/Training
We also offer:
- Full Boarding Facilities
- Horse Transportation
The amount of benefit gained through horseback riding differs from person to person based on many factors such as the body type of the rider, physical strength, motivation of the rider and connection between horse and rider. Unlike exercise machines that only focus on one muscle group at a time and do not use natural body movements, riding forces the rider to make use of the entire body to steer, control, adjust the horse and maintain balance. Because horses require not only physical skill but also cognitive skill for achievement, riding reveals the strengths and weaknesses of the rider.
